- Mother and Daughter at Walnut Creek station: They had their dirt bikes and helmets with them and when the conductor announced that bikes aren't alowed on the first cart, I heard the Mom look around and ask "Which cart is okay for bikes??? Which cart is okay for bikes!?" What I really wanted to do was shout: Anyone! but I was pretty sure she wouldn't of heard me and I would of made a fool of myself. They awkwardly stood in my cart as I heard her converse over their trip to Golden Gate Park and seeing "interesting things."
- Very kind young Philipino lady: She gave her seat up twice, once for the Mother and Daughter and once for an older Asian woman. Then, as karma works, a guy gave up his seat for her.
- Educated Senior Citizens from Lafayette talking to random civilian-a mid aged Computer geek: I heard them speak about the Olympics, it was nice.
- Me: I actually got really lost today because for some reason I had this strange idea to take the Fremont train and transfer at MacArthur, but I never got TO MacArthur. I looked up from my journal to see myself in San Leandro and had felt something fishy when we had passed Fruitvale and Lake Merrit stations, stations I never pass on my day-to-day travels. I ended up backtracking and switching over at three different stations today because I refused to use a map. Although, I ended up doing so in the end. I need to put the train map back on my Ipod.
